Kind of torn on 4G. I can see AT&T and Verizon making an upgrade to capped 4G data plans mandatory once these radios are added, even if you are happy with 3G. Personally, I'd rather have unlimited 3G data than capped 4G data any day of the week.

How long after you make a purchase does the App Store remember your password so you don't have to enter it again? I presume that's what happened in this case.

(Guess I would want the non-glossy screen? I guess that looks like a normal desktop LCD?)
Do some google searches on the pros and cons. The glossy has a sharper image with brighter colors. It even has less glare under some circumstances.

Between him and Cryer, that's still half of what the show brings in. And you're still not factoring in production costs.
Remember that CBS gets to air reruns and also owns part of the show to sell into syndication. That damn psycho has probably generated a billion dollars for CBS.
Here's a list of what some TV stars earn. (http://www.tvguide.com/News/Top-TV-Earners-1021717.aspx)
Says Sheen gets $1.25 million, Cryer at $550K and the kid at $250K.

I wonder why they've moved it to a later date?
Because that customer's service has been suspended due to non-pay. Trust me a customer care rep does not get this info... They are going off of what they hear in the media. Let's say the phone is coming out in the fall, Apple and all other companies have to wait for official announcement to give out info. That was some reps personal opinion...

What product will the T-Mobile chic bash now???
You know how fickle women can be, so does it really matter?!
Oops, just made somebody's hit list. Let me rephrase that...
As a woman, the T-Mobile "chic" has the right to change her mind! Thus probably will bash Android Fragmentation! :D

I want mine to use the old-school Mac voice that Radiohead used in "Fitter Happier."
Good ol' Fred is still there, from what I've read elsewhere. "... a pig, in a cage, on antibiotics." :D

the fact is nobody knows the facts ... it could have been a Man trying to disguise himself as a Woman to gain access to the Woman's washroom.
maybe he was not a transgender and was a threat to young girls in the bathroom.
I don't think anybody has all the facts ... he was hardly beaten to the point where this thread is labeled "almost killed"
Yeah, having a seizure from getting beaten up is a walk in the park...

Beaten in terms what what?
The entire Android platform only generates 1 billion dollars per year in revenue for Google.
On the flip side, the iOS platform generates 1.4 billion dollars per quarter through the iTunes store for Apple.
Google hasn't found a way to significantly capitalize on Androids market share and that is a major loss. Hell, Google could take over the other 30% of the market held by RIM/ect. and the yearly Android revenue would still be below Apples quarterly revenue for the iOS platform.
I dont know if Google want Android to be a pure moneyspinner. They're already better off with smartphones accessable to more people which in turn means more people online doing searches, using their services and data mining. OEMs like HTC, samsung, lg, zte and chipset makers will be the real breadwinners of Android if they can push successful products based on the OS.

It's rather cool to touch when it's not charging. Charging, then I'll probably burn my finger if I touch the "ESC/F1/F2" area.

can anyone tell me why this market is so important? even at .99 cents a song the margins for the retailer can't be that much.
It's the battle for your credit card.
Both Apple and Amazon want to be your one-stop shop for media. If you're purchasing your music from one of them, they hope that you'll also purchase your movies, tv shows, and e-books from them as well.
Amazon has an even greater incentive because of everything else they sell. They'll gladly take a profit hit on a song if it means that buyer will come back and buy a stereo (or an iMac!)

I wonder if this is part of the labels' strategy to take power away from iTunes.

Just a note. If you look at the average of the average time between updates you discover that there are, amongst all the products, a 192 days period between updates.
Currently only 177 days have passed since the last update to the MBP. Oct 26 would be Mac Expo in the UK. If they anounced then (185 days) and shipped one week later they would be at the average (192 exactly).
Also noting that major US and Euro retailers are out of stock or low on stock is also a fairly good indicator.
Finally, I think it would be pretty damn sad if after 192 days of updating they merely give us a .16 processor upgrade...

Windows Vista is NOT Windows XP.
Hey, somewhat going off on a tangent here but...
Vista is just now coming out. Are you old enough to remember that, when XP came out, it was lauded as "the most secure Windows ever"? It's silly to pay any attention to what MS says - until Vista has a track record, we won't know how its security stacks up.
Love or hate Steve Gibson, but he's pointed out some extremely stupid holes in Vista's security during the beta process. Stuff that was fixed in Windows back in the days of 95/98. They've got a totally new network stack in Vista, and frankly Microsoft has very little experience writing core network code (remember much or most of their previous stack was shown to have been pulled from BSD).
Now back to the Mac side. I'm glad to see this thread isn't filled with Apple apologists. :) Apple certainly has work ahead of them, but I think all in all they've been pretty responsive to most vulnerability reports over the past couple years. But Mac people need to shed this false air of invulnerability that's far too common on this forum and elsewhere. In the end, common sense will go far to protect you - don't run day to day as an admin account, use a strong password, don't use the same password everywhere. If you have a home network, use NAT (by default you probably will be). Don't try to download a "free" version of Microsoft Office off Gnutella. :D

It's only ****ing capitalism when Apple does something and has the audacity to charge for it. When any other company does it, it's just good business.
People will complain about anything.
I take it with a grain of salt, there's not that many people that are truly Anti-Apple, and those are the ones I don't care about anyway.
Bottom line, I get to enjoy lots of Apple gear, AND benefit as my stock skyrockets.
Now that, is the "Magic" of great Apple Hype, Marketing, and Influence.
Mikey's parents will buy him anything...ha..ha...ha...:D

I stopped buying iMacs the day they went gloss. I now have a bunch of minis with the older Matte Cinema Displays. As simple as that I put my money where my mouth is. If I couldn't get these, I would buy other branded displays.
When Steve Jobs made a comment a couple of years ago about Apple's customers saying they preferred gloss (or something like that) I wrote to Apple to say that at least one customer doesn't prefer gloss and why, and there is a pretty vocal group of Apple customers who share my sentiments. At least we were given the option on the MacBook Pros. I hate having to pay extra on an already expensive machine, but that's what I've done with my new just-ordered MBP. It's one small and expensive vote for usability to prevail over eye-candy. Sigh.
While I agree disagree with you as it relates to dsiplay preference (I prefer the glossy display over the matte display), I 100% agree with you in principal. Since Apple has customers who want the matte or anti-gloss option, they ought to make it available--simple as that. This way, everyone can be happy. If you want matte, you should be able to get it just as I'm able to get the glossy screen that I like.
(Plus, if they went to all matte, then the matte displays would weird up against the glossy 27" Cinema Displays, IMO.)
